A Fond Farewell to Santa Barbara

It was a perfect balmy night to toast Santa Barbara farewell. We enjoyed nearly 3 weeks in the harbor; we had great views of endless palm trees, the majestic Santa Ynez Mountain Range, long walks for us, daily romps at the beach for Spark, and great meals in romantic settings with old friends.

A busy hot Saturday afternoon on the sand spit - just off our back porch, otherwise known as our stern.
Also known as Sparky's favorite swimming hole.

While Darrell was otherwise preoccupied (in class), my girlfriend, Judy, joined me for lunch at the Biltmore Hotel. We sipped Fume Blanc, ate the yummiest crab soup, died for the fresh baby greens with a light cilantro dressing, and chatted endlessly as old friends do under the yellow umbrellas on the patio overlooking the Pacific Blue.
