Morro Bay Yacht Club

Back where we started in 1975!
The trip south from San Francisco Bay was uneventful; plenty of fog, lumpy confused seas, and 15 knots of wind. A brief stop in Half Moon Bay for fuel (diesel and clam chowder) proved replenishing.  At Monterey the wind shifted to a warm offshore breeze, the fog lifted, and two breaching whales performed elegantly on both port and starboard. A sky of brilliant stars cast its spell on El Tiburon which made the night passage quite enjoyable.  We arrived in Morro Bay at 1:30pm and were reunited with old sailing buddies for the last BBQ Hamburger Night of the season.
